I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I know I have been MIA for the last few weeks, it was one thing after another around our house and posting just wasn't on my to do list. I had lots of fun things planned for holiday baking but most of them just didn't happen at all. Sorry guys I know I dropped the ball.
Do you have a lot of candy canes laying around? If your anything like us, it seems that every gift our kids got this year had candy canes attached to them. In an attempt to use up a major surplus of candy canes hanging from our Christmas tree we had planned several candy cane recipes. One of the few things that did come out of our kitchen this month was this super tasty popcorn. We made a couple of batches and pass them out to our kiddos teachers before schools let out. It has a wonderful peppermint flavor!
I can't believe I haven't shared these yummy biscuits with you guys yet. They are staple around our house. For breakfast or dinner we eat these like they are going out of style. I had tried quite a few biscuits recipes looking for exactly what we like fluffy and moist. You can make anywhere from 7 to 16 of these gems. In the pic below I made only 7 monster size ones in my 12 inch cast iron. Any sided pan will work. Just try these babies! :)

Over Thanksgiving break we ran out of peanut butter..... How I let this happen, I don't know.. I guess I was a little preoccupied with Turkey Day cooking to make sure we had our everyday staples.
Peanut butter is consumed on a daily basis in our house, usually by my boys, David and Monkey. As much as they love peanuts we are even more in love with pecans. With it being November I had a surplus of pecan on hand so this little baby was born. They ate through the whole jar in 2 days! 2 days!! Now they are pleading for me to make some more for them, regular ol' peanut butter will never be the same.
I choose to leave ours a little chunky, if you want yours smoother just let in go a little longer in the food processor.

I have been seeing the Olive Garden soup commercial like every other day. Seeing this soup on tv has brain washed me into wanting it....... I had never had it before, but I had to have it! When I found this copy cat recipe for it I was excited! (Yes, I get excited over food.) It is great! An instant family favorite. It's been on repeat every week for the last two months and I don't think it's going anywhere soon. :)
A few months back we order Pizza Hut and we picked up these little garlic toast pizzas. Simply garlic buttered toast topped with sauce, cheese and toppings. After one bite of these little jewels I was wondering where have they been my whole life??
Now we eat soooo many types of pizza around our house like french bread pizzas, waffle pizzas, and even pizza grilled cheese. But never pizza on top of my garlic toast! How come I didn't think of this? Well now they stopped carrying them around here so I have no choice but to make them at home. They take no time to make and I always keep extra garlic toast on hand to make these little guys.
