With this weekend being a long weekend with Memorial Day, we decided to grill and have a little family picnic. For the adults we decided we needed Spiked Lemonade. Which just happens to be one of my favorites. Sweet and with a little kick it hits the spot at our little picnic!
Please drink responsibly!!

Spiked Lemonade
Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 cups water
- zest of one lemon
- 12 lemons, juiced (about 1 2/3 cups)
- 1/2 cup bourbon (or as desired)
- 2 1/2 cups club soda (or as desired)
- ice
Cooking Directions
- *In a sauce pan heat sugar, water, and the zest of one lemon. (Be sure to zest the lemon before juicing makes it a lot easier. ) Heat until sugar is melted, chill until ready for use.
- In a 2 quart pitcher mix together lemon juice and syrup, add syrup in stages to get the desired sweetness (I used about 2/3 of it). When ready to serve add in bourbon and club soda (I used the whole bottle).
Makes about 2 quarts (depends on how much soda you use)
