Every good southern girl has her own take on sweet tea. As far back I can remember I have always enjoyed my mama's tea. I never drank it when we went out, it just never tasted as good as my mamas does. Now she swears she doesn't do anything special to it so I am wondering if it is just her that makes it so darn good. :)
Here is my take on my mama's tea. Enjoy it on a warm sunny day!

Sweet Tea
Ingredients
Cooking Directions
Ingredients
- 4 tea bags
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 3/4 cup sugar
- 16 cups water
Cooking Directions
- * In a medium sauce pan over high heat bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add tea bags, and let brew for 12 minutes.
- When done let bags drip to remove excess tea, DO NOT SQUEEZE. Add in baking soda (to take the bitterness out) and sugar. Stir to until sugar is dissolved. Pour into a gallon pitcher and add remaining water. Stir and chill in refrigerator until cold.
