This chicken is not too sweet. Easy and perfect for a weekday dinner. We love pecans here especially my hubby, so its no surprise that this one the whole family loves. :)
3 chicken breasts cut in halves (6 total) boneless & skinless
creole seasoning, to taste
5 Tablespoons butter, melted
1/3 cup maple syrup
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup pecans, chopped
*Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread pecans on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 5-8 minutes. stirring occasionally. Set aside
Sprinkle chicken breast with creole seasoning on both sides. Heat a large skillet over medium heat add butter, once melted brown chicken on each side about 4-5 mins each. Remove chicken once done and place on plate or serving platter cover to keep warm.
Add maple syrup, and brown sugar to pan and stir together. Bring to a boil then add in pecans and let cook for 1 min. Add chicken back in turning to coat in sauce. Let cook for another minute on medium heat. place chicken back on plate and spoon sauce on top of chicken.
