Jello Shots

We have another fun New Year's Eve goodie for you. I know you probably have seen this before but its still fun! This is a tradition for me and my hubby since we had kids. We don't get out on New Years anymore so we have our own little party at home once the kiddos are in bed. :) We also love to have this with our favorite Beer Pizza Crust.

We wish you a very Happy New Year! And please remember to not drink and drive.

Beer Pizza Crust

Every year for New Year's Eve we make our own pizzas and jello shots. Now we use to have a night out but that was before kids. So we make it a night in and have just much fun as a night on the town. We put the kids to bed early and enjoy the goodies. :)

A fun fact ~ New Year's Eve is the second most consumed pizza day next to the Super Bowl of course! So go eat pizza! :)

Pistachio Fudge

If you follow me on Facebook, then you probably know that I am mildly obsessed with pistachios.  They remind me of my childhood, back when my mama would make me pistachio pudding. Secretly back then I would sneak extra bites of the wonderful stuff. :)

Christmas time for me will always include this fudge from here on out. Warming heart memories that I hope to make with my kids too.

The Grinch

The holidays are my favorite time of year but, its also the most stressful time of year for me too. So after a long day of shopping or baking or screaming kids that are out of school for the break, kick your heals up and have a drink.
It's a sweet cocktail that I am sure warmed the grinch's heart. :)

Chocolate Snowball Cookies

It's just not Christmas time here at our house until a cookie sheet of these come out of the oven! I love the surprise bite of chocolate in the middle, gives it a sweet note. These cookies are wonderful slightly warmed to make the kiss a bit melty.

If you choose not to use the kisses in the middle you might want to use a little more sugar. The inside of the cookie is not too sweet to help with the sweetness of the kiss and the sugar on the outside.

Eggnog Muffins

It's no secret I love eggnog! It's such a creamy, sweet drink that makes the holidays for me.  Drinking it is great but I love baking with it too. This muffin has a nice flavor to it and makes a great quick breakfast for this busy time of year. :)

Holiday Rolls

We have made these rolls a total of three times since the beginning of November. They are so good! I made a serious mistake when I made these on Thanksgiving, I added the butter in the dough. Well lets just say it's a change I am keeping! :) They are a bit time consuming but well worth it.

Sloppy Pizza Joes

My kids are crazy about pizza. So anyway I can serve it that's not the same old same old is a great thing! Like this twist on a classic, they can't get enough of this messy burger. Top it with your favorite pizza toppings like olives, green peppers, or even mushrooms.

Breakfast Egg Rolls

Hey guys! This is David, the other half of Forkful of Comfort. I am stepping in for this post since I was the one who made this for Kristen while shes been battling migraines.
These last few days I have been in charge of the kitchen. It's a nice chance for me to flex my kitchen know how. Since I am usually in the kitchen with Kristen anyways I have picked up a few tidbits. Like, she has a small obsession for anything in an egg roll wrapper. So to change up our Saturday morning breakfast I made these (pictures included) It put a smile on her face especially when I brought salsa for her to dip them into.

Remember recipes can be changed to suit your taste, they are like guide lines. Add or remove either way make it your own.
