November is finally here. We are just now starting to see some cooler nights here in Texas. So that means soup!! :) This soup is creamy and delish. It will warm you right up. Serve it up with a grilled cheese or crusty bread for extra comfort!

Basil & Garlic Tomato Soup
Ingredients
- 2 (28 oz) cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 (14.5 oz) can chicken broth
- 18 basil leaves, minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar (as desired)
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 6 - 8 Tablespoons butter (as desired)
- salt & pepper, to taste
Cooking Directions
- *In a large saucepan, bring the tomatoes and broth to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add basil, garlic and sugar. Reduce heat to low; stir in cream and butter. Cook until butter is melted. Blend with stick blender until desired thickness. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
- Serves with grilled cheese or crusty bread.
